If you're into your trig bagging, then Wether Cairn Trig Point up on Wholhope Hill is a canny walk of approx 7km and like a lot of places in the Cheviot, can be a little boggy.
Best to park on the green in Alwinton and then start making your way up Clennel Street and then turn right at the style before you get to Castle Hills.
Then head through the farm and follow the road as it hugs the River Alnwin. Then time for climbing as you head up on The Dodd, followed by Puncherton Hill and onto Wholhope Hill.
